Efficient insulation and uncomplicated components.

EPP Insulation

Energy efficiency and thermal insulation are probably among the most important cornerstones when it comes to optimizing new or existing buildings. Particle foams such as EPP, EPS (Styrofoam) and Neopor® offer the ideal properties for this: they are lightweight, can be produced in almost any 3D geometry, are noise-insulating and, above all, offer excellent thermal insulation. EPP in particular is also predestined for use as a housing or structural component, for example for cascade, heat pump or solar systems, due to its very good resilience. Fittings and pipe insulation are further typical applications that minimize heat losses and thus ultimately reduce operating costs.

Foam Pipe Ventilation

Modern buildings are increasingly designed to be highly insulated and airtight. The requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEv) are playing a major role in shaping this development. It is therefore all the more important to create a healthy indoor climate by means of suitable centralized or decentralized ventilation systems. Air-conditioning devices such as heat exchangers or heat recovery units are frequently used for this purpose. In these devices, molded parts made of EPP are used for insulation, which help to achieve an optimal energy balance. They find application as outer housings or inner chassis.

Air Conditioner Insulation

Air conditioning systems and air handling units are gaining in importance due to rising summer temperatures. Particle foam EPP in particular brings decisive advantages for these systems. The use of EPP in air conditioning systems can significantly reduce weight. In mobile air-conditioning systems in cars or buses, this means enormous savings in fuel consumption and emissions. In addition, EPP also supports effective noise insulation in vehicles. Simple interlocking of the housing parts due to the undercutting capability of EPP and/or the firm connection by means of foamed-in fastening elements is a further plus point for high ease of maintenance.

EPP instead of heavy sheet metal housing

The particle foam EPP impresses with its low weight in combination with robust grip strength. EPP molded parts can replace heavy sheet metal sheathing as enclosures. Enclosures made of EPP can be designed as uncomplicated click systems. EPP click systems allow easy disassembly and reassembly of the enclosure without screws for any maintenance work. The excellent acoustic and thermal insulation are further properties why EPP is increasingly replacing sheet metal as a material for enclosures. Enclosure components made of EPP impress with their elegant appearance, their pleasant “warm” feel and the possibility of a wide variety of color finishes.

Decentralized Ventilation Unit

Decentralized ventilation units make continuous room ventilation possible while at the same time preserving heating or room heat. The room air is transported out of the room with the exhaust air volume flow, the heat is transferred in the decentralized ventilation unit to the supply air volume flow, which transfers fresh outside air and the transferred heat back into the room air. Decentralized ventilation units are particularly characterized by their flexible installation and low cost. These ventilation units can therefore also be easily retrofitted, e.g. during renovation work and when the value of a property is increasing. If all costs are taken into account, the use of a decentralized ventilation system is usually more cost-effective than the installation of a central ventilation unit. Another advantage of decentralized ventilation systems is the ease of maintenance. These systems are easy to maintain, repair and clean.
