Schaumaplast first supplier of molded parts made of “Biomass Balance Styrofoam

Temperature-sensitive products are usually transported in insulating boxes made of expandable polystyrene (EPS), better known as “Styropor” or “airpop”. The popular white foam has so far been produced from the petroleum product naphtha. Recently, naphtha can also be synthesized from biological raw materials. For the internationally active Styropor processor Schaumaplast, this is a welcome opportunity to offer customers an ecological alternative. Today the Schaumaplast Group is the first company in the world to process polystyrene from the so-called “Biomass Balance Polystyrene “.
